Imagine sitting in a room and witnessing something that challenges your understanding of reality.
Not because only you experience it, but because several people simultaneously see, hear, or sense that something is happening which, by all conventional standards, should not be possible.
That is what fascinates me about physical mediumship.
It challenges our minds. It confronts us with experiences for which there are often no easy explanations.
For more than 150 years, people have reported tables moving under the influence of an unseen force, voices heard without a visible speaker, touches, light phenomena, and other extraordinary events that continue to raise questions to this day.
What is really happening?
For generations, people have debated it, researched it, questioned it, and marveled at it.
Yet for me, physical mediumship is about far more than extraordinary phenomena.
Because while the mind is astonished, something else often begins to unfold.
Many people experience a profound sense of connection. Connection with themselves. With their ancestors. With loved ones who have passed on. With something greater that is difficult to put into words.
Some describe a deep sense of peace. Others speak of gratitude. Still others notice inner shifts and transformations weeks or months later, without being able to identify a clear cause.
To me, both aspects belong together.
The wonder of realizing that reality may be far greater than we have imagined.
And the experience that this realization touches not only the mind, but also the heart.
I do not see these phenomena as supernatural. On the contrary, I believe they are deeply natural and part of what it means to be human.
Perhaps we have simply forgotten how vast and layered this world truly is.
Perhaps these experiences remind us that there is still so much to discover — about life, consciousness, and ourselves.
On the following pages, I invite you to join me on a journey of exploration: into the history of physical mediumship, remarkable mediums, fascinating accounts, and the people who have sought to investigate these phenomena through scientific inquiry.
Perhaps you will find answers.
Or perhaps you will discover even more interesting questions.
